 California Health Insurance California health insurance plan has become a problem recently for two main reasons: increasing the number of uninsured individuals and new proposals to change the California health insurance system currently dramatically. While the number of people without health insurance has grown everywhere in the United States, California is much higher numbers. According to the California Health Care Chart, CA health insurance plans do not cover 18% of the country in 2002. In addition, 20% of the elderly population is not covered by any type of health insurance in California.

Part of the reason for the number of California is a large immigrant population. Twenty-seven percent of the population of California consisted of immigrants and 52% of individuals who have been in the state of under 5 years do not have insurance. Even after living in California for more than five years, a significant portion, 40%, still do not have health care.

Children under the age of 18 years are most likely covered by insurance. However, most children will go without health insurance after they turn 18 because they will not longer be eligible for Medicaid or because they may no longer be borne by their parents’ health insurance program. As a result, they will probably end up in the end are not insured.

An Alternative to Health Insurance Plan of California Current

In May 2005, a new proposal based on the California Senate that can provide answers to the problem’s with California health insurance. California is known as the Health Insurance Law of Reliability, the new bill would guarantee health insurance coverage for every person in California. California health insurance current methods will be replaced by a single-payer system with a non-profit insurance plans are available. California residents will be able to go to the doctor they choose and all necessary medical care they will be covered. There will be no deductibles or-we-pocket expenses for anyone.
